This post shows the 2021 ICSE and ISC timetable for reference. CISCE publishes a new timetable every year, so always check the official website, cisce.org, for your exam dates.

How to plan your computer revision around the board timetable

Once the timetable is out, work backwards from the date of your Computer Applications (ICSE) or Computer Science (ISC) paper.

1. Count the days available. Note how many days fall between the previous exam and the computer paper. Those are your final-revision days.
2. Finish theory early. Complete definitions, Boolean algebra and output-question practice at least two weeks before the paper, so the final days are free for full papers.
3. One full paper a day. In the final week, attempt one complete sample paper each day under timed conditions, then check it against the solutions.
4. Programs last. On the day before the exam, revise the patterns of your most-practised programs (number, string, array and class-based) rather than learning new ones.

Last-week checklist

• ICSE: 2 hours for 100 marks. Keep about 30 minutes for Section A and 1½ hours for the four programs in Section B.
• ISC: 3 hours for 70 marks. Spend the reading time choosing your Part II questions.
• Sleep well and carry your admit card. Read each question twice before you answer it.
